Nokia 6600i Slider Surfaces

Nokia presented the Nokia 6600i slide, a timeless beauty for imaging and sharing. The beauty is Nokia’s smallest 5 megapixel slider to date, and having it in your pocket you will never miss a moment to bring stories alive with the great snapshots.

In addition to its superb imaging capabilities, the Nokia 6600i slide indulges the quality-conscious consumer with its compact and elegant design which it has inherited from the commended Nokia 6600 slide. The brushed steel covers and chrome center key constitute both understated elegance as well as visual simplicity, and discreet tap commands bring the display alive, snooze alerts and silence or reject incoming phone calls.

Toshiba TG01 Ships with Advanced Multimedia Applications

ArcSoft announced that a complete set of its multimedia applications has been adopted by Toshiba to accompany its Windows Mobile 6.1 Smartphone TG01, launching in European and other global markets.

TG01 ( inset left ) is a 9.9 mm thick Windows Mobile 6.1 Smart phone, with a 4.1-inch WVGA, 800 x 480 pixel resistive touch screen, and 1 GHz GPU. It supports 3G HSPA, WiFi, GPS and A-GPS. This powerful device comes equipped with a full suite of ArcSoft’s applications, including MMS composer, photo viewer and editor, video editor, and a streaming player, providing rich functionalities while maintaining a friendly and intuitive user experience.

DOCOMO and Telefonica to Toshiba Windows Mobile Handset

NTT DOCOMO and Telefónica announced today that a Windows Mobile handset model made by Toshiba Corporation will be introduced by both companies in their respective Japanese and Spanish markets in June to July as part of a plan for various joint undertakings by the two mobile operators.

The companies selected the full touch-panel model as an ideal offering for users seeking a versatile, stylish handset. DOCOMO will sell the handset in Japan as the docomo PRO series™ T-01A (officially announced on May 19) and Telefónica will sell it in Spain as the TG01.

DOCOMO and Telefónica are now considering various other initiatives to mutually strengthen corporate competitiveness and customer satisfaction in their respective markets, including a joint study of possible services and applications for open OS handsets.

DOCOMO Senior Vice President and Product Department Managing Director Kiyohito Nagata said: "DOCOMO looks forward to working with global operators such as Telefónica to jointly develop mobile services and applications for mutually enhanced global competitiveness. At the same time, we would be pleased if such efforts have the added effect of supporting Japanese mobile phone manufacturers in their attempts to expand handset sales overseas."
