O2 Beats Vodafone to 1000 Mobile Connections

O2 has successfully beaten off competition from Vodafone to sign a contract with SAGA. SAGA has chosen O2 to provide all mobile services for SAGA staff, including voice, data and BlackBerry connections.

The new deal, worth around 1000 connections, will see O2 supplying innovative and bespoke mobile and data solutions which address the specific needs of the business and drive efficiencies. The team will also provide consultancy services to ensure customers have the most efficient system possible, conducting voice and data audits, identifying and correcting problems to optimise the solution.

The SAGA group provides high quality services exclusively to people over 50 across a range of areas including, insurance, travel, money, health and home. It boasts a customer base of 2.5 million and is a rapidly growing business, benefiting from an aging population.

"O2 have demonstrated that they can supply us with a solution that meets our needs at a competitive price", commented Paul Green, head of communication, Saga Group Ltd.

Ben Dowd, Head of Business Sales at O2 said: “Not only have we gained a valuable new customer in what is an extremely competitive market but we have won yet another contract from Vodafone. The services we offer businesses are extremely strong and we are excellently placed to continue to win important customers from our rivals. This demonstrates that we are going the extra mile to understand our customers and quash the competition.”
